Bishop’s Canyon Glows

West of Bishop, Calif., Bishop Creek Canyon rises above treeline. Autumn color is peaking there now above 9,000′.

Here’s a short video from our friends in Bishop that provides a taste of what they’re now seeing up Bishop Creek Canyon.

Saw your post about Hope Valley, but I called Sorenson’s and they said they have snow and not a lot of color. Any suggestions for next weekend, on the Western slope of the Sierra?

It’s still too early for the west slope. Everything’s happening on the east slope (Hope Valley is east slope) right now, between Hope Valley and Bishop Creek, above 8,500′.
