Lake Tahoe Hints of Yellow

Snow and a cold snap knocked the fall color off aspen trees above 8,500′ in California this past week, but didn’t affect trees at lower elevations which retain their leaves and continue to transition from green to yellow, orange and red.
Fall color reports from the Eastern Sierra… the color viewing is moving north along US 395 from Bishop to the Walker Canyon.
Kahlee Brighton reports from the Bishop Creek and Rock Creek drainages in the Eastern Sierra that snow, wind and freezing temperatures have knocked color down the canyons. Lower elevations at Aspendell and Intake II are now coloring up.
